Politikini.com launches presidential bikini line

CheesePlay

We’ve seen it before: statements on T-shirts and sweaters. But what about a bikini? Politikini.com has now launched swimwear with the names of the US presidential hopefuls printed on the rear. What a great opportunity to get “behind” your political candidate.

How did it all come about? Quite simple. Creator of the “politikini” Antonia Serrell-Watts was walking on the beach in Santa Monica one day when the idea came to her. “Here I was walking with my dog at the beach but all that me and my friends could talk about, was who we they are going to vote for. Then it struck me: Why not print your favourite candidate’s name there, where most eyes are checking you out: your bottom.” But the idea behind the political bikini goes a bit deeper than just viewing politics as a fashion statement. Serrell-Watts hopes to entice the younger voters to get involved in the elections with her bikini line.

It’s a simple fact that there are over 42 million voters between 18 and 30 years old and they are constantly looking for new and hip ways to communicate their viewpoints,” Serrell-Watts said.
The names available to get printed on your own bikini are McCain, for the Republican presidential candidate, as well as the two ever-battling Democratic hopefuls, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
One can choose between a black bikini with golden studs or a white bikini with blue lettering. Both bikinis are available at a price of 49 US dollars.

British model Kelly Brook has been named as the star with the best bikini body in a new poll, beating Halle Berry and Elle MacPherson to the top spot.

The poll, conducted by Debenhams department store, asked men who they thought had the best ever bikini body. There were 2000 participants.

Underwear queen Elle MacPherson was fourth, while Raquel Welch came fifth - just ahead of Marilyn Monroe.

LUTZ, FL — Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of $40,000 worth of jewelry from a posh northwest county home.

The prime suspect is a nude maid.

Deputies tell ABCActionNews.com a Cheval resident hired a nude maid from Craigslist to clean his home because his wife was out of town.

The victim believes the maid cleaned him out while cleaning the bedroom. Deputies say the victim’s wife discovered her jewelry missing when she returned to her clean home.

Deputies are now looking for the maid to question her in the disappearance of the jewelry.
The victim provided the woman’s web site along with a brief description of her appearance.

He obviously could not give deputies a clothing description.

African grey parrot — missing two weeks — is returned to owners

TOKYO - When Yosuke the parrot flew out of his cage and got lost, he did exactly what he had been taught — recite his name and address to a stranger willing to help.

Police rescued the African grey parrot two weeks ago from a neighbor’s roof in the city of Nagareyama, near Tokyo. After spending a night at the station, he was transferred to a nearby veterinary hospital while police searched for clues, local policeman Shinjiro Uemura said.

He kept mum with the cops, but began chatting after a few days with the vet.

“I’m Mr. Yosuke Nakamura,” the bird told the veterinarian, according to Uemura. The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs.

“We checked the address, and what do you know, a Nakamura family really lived there. So we told them we’ve found Yosuke,” Uemura said.

The Nakamura family told police they had been teaching the bird its name and address for about two years.

But Yosuke apparently wasn’t keen on opening up to police officials.

“I tried to be friendly and talked to him, but he completely ignored me,” Uemura said.

Mom who caged teen son gets 20 years behind bars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A mother was sentenced to 20 years in prison Thursday for keeping her 17-year-old adopted son caged in her home.

Brenda Sullivan pleaded guilty in January to three counts of aggravated child abuse. Prosecutors agreed to drop lesser child neglect charges.

The teen weighed 49 pounds when child welfare workers found him in 2005 in what appeared to be a cage. Sullivan told a judge at the time that Ohio authorities told her to keep the boy, who had severe medical and emotional problems, in a crib.

“There’s only one conclusion when you look at the medical evidence in this case, and that is that she literally starved him,” prosecutor Julie Schlax said.

Two other children, 13-year-old twins the Sullivans adopted as infants, both testified they were kept in similar cages.

Sullivan’s husband was also arrested, but died in January 2007 while awaiting trial.

Sullivan’s lawyer, Charles Fletcher, said he didn’t think prison was the right option because she does not pose a threat to society. He said they would appeal the sentence.

Cops: Naked pilot arrested with flight attendant after drunken forest romp

HARRISBURG, Pa. - An airline pilot was found hiding behind a shed wearing only flip-flops and a wristwatch as a nighttime romp in the woods with a flight attendant ended with both under arrest, police said.

Jeffrey Paul Bradford, 24, and Adrianna Grace Connor, 24, both employees of Pinnacle Airlines Inc., were at a diner on the outskirts of Harrisburg on Sunday night before they apparently decided to walk into the woods, police said.

Adrianna Grace Connor

“They told the officer they wanted to go do it in the woods, essentially,” said Lower Swatara Township police Sgt. Richard Brandt. “That’s the best answer they had.”

The two somehow became separated, and people who live in the neighborhood summoned police around 9:30 p.m., saying they had seen a naked man and an intoxicated woman.

A helicopter with heat-seeking equipment was called in, and Bradford was discovered hiding behind a shed shortly before midnight.

Bradford, of Pittsburgh, was charged with indecent exposure, public drunkenness and other offenses. Connor, of Belleville, Mich., was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, public drunkenness and other offenses; police said she took a flashlight from a neighbor’s vehicle.

A spokesman for the Memphis, Tenn., airline said the two were suspended while the company investigates.

The office of District Justice Michael John Smith, where Bradford and Connor were arraigned, said they were not represented by lawyers. Telephone listings for them could not be located by The Associated Press.
